Why I created this pattern
I love crocheting clothes.
This sweater began as a gift for someone I care deeply about. It also served as a quiet reminder that creativity can be rest.
When I make garments, I look for patterns that:
- Flow well without lots of counting
- Grow quickly and bring a sense of progress
- Are easy to adjust to different sizes and bodies
- Allow freedom in yarn choice
Gentle Loop offers all of that — and it means a lot to me.

How the sweater is made
The sweater is crocheted top-down with raglan increases from the neckline.
Once you reach the underarm opening, you work the body first, then each sleeve.
🧵 This gives you flexibility as you go:
You can shape the fit. You can determine the length and the texture. All this is possible while choosing yarns that feel good in your hands.
A rhythm you’ll remember
I chose a simple, repeating stitch pattern that settles into your fingers.
It doesn’t demand your full focus — and that’s the gift.
You get to breathe, reflect, and be with your yarn. Loop by loop.
This isn’t just a pattern. It’s a peaceful pause.

You’re also welcome to support with a small amount if it feels right — it’s entirely optional and deeply appreciated 💛
More a guide than a formula
So far, I’ve made two versions:
- A classic adult XL
- A roomy pre-teen size M
These offer a good idea of the structure and feel.
But more than that — I hope they offer you confidence.
✨ You can adjust patterns.
✨ You can make something that fits you.
If there’s interest, I’d love to create a full pattern with graded sizes — but I’ll need testers!
If you make this sweater, please share your feedback, photos, or measurements. It means the world.
A final loop
I hope this sweater brings you as much joy as it brought me to create it.
It definitely won’t be the last Gentle Loop I make — and maybe, it’ll become your new favorite too.
Thank you for being here.
Warmly,
Bente G
